Cannot Install New SSL Certificate
I just renewed my SSL certificate through GoDaddy. However, when attempting to install it I get the following error:
The "/usr/local/apache/bin/httpd" command (process 3211) reported error number 1 when it ended.
httpd: Syntax error in -C/-c directive: Include directory '/usr/local/apache/conf.modules.d' not found
ENVIRONMENT
CPanel 11
WHM 60 (build 48)
CentOS 6.6
The domain in question has a dedicated IP
I get the same result whether logged in as root and performing the operation from WHM or logged in as user account and performing the operation via CPanel.
Another interesting aspect, if I attempt to browse the site using https I get the following screen, though if using http it works fine:
Any ideas?
Thanks,

The error log suggests that the include directory to the modules subdirectory in Apache configuration is missing i.e., '/usr/local/apache/conf.modules.d' Can you check if the is declared properly..0 -
Hello, It looks like the Apache configuration file is unable to rebuild due to a missing directory. Have you made any custom modifications to Apache on this system? Are you using EasyApache 3, or EasyApache 4? Also, note that cPanel version 60 is at end-of-life status: cPanel & WHM Versions 56 & 60 Now EOL | cPanel Newsroom Thank you. 0 -
Thank you for your reply. That directory was in fact missing. I have resolved the issue by updating WHM and CPANEL (not sure why that worked, but it did.) Thanks again, fharbison 0 -
Hello, I'm glad to see the issue is now solved after updating to a supported version of cPanel & WHM. Thank you for updating us with the outcome. 0
