Can Email be Filtered and Forwarded Conditionally?

I receive system alerts at one address that I forward to another, using an email filter. Many of these logs can be ignored, depending on specific content in the body. Is it possible to forward only the alerts I want, and discard the remainder? Michael Reynolds

  It looks like I figured it out. The email filters work in order, from the top down. I created one filter to discard what I want to ignore, and another filter below it to send the remaining email. Michael Reynolds
