    Hey hey!  What does "hostnamectl" report from the command line?

    [***@host public_html]$ hostnamectl
       Static hostname: host.***.com
             Icon name: computer-container
               Chassis: container
            Machine ID: 578a72edce9142fdafad2de558bd656a
               Boot ID: 07de5bbf6e1c4812b67fd0b0ca342d22
        Virtualization: openvz
      Operating System: AlmaLinux 8.9 (Midnight Oncilla)
           CPE OS Name: cpe:/o:almalinux:almalinux:8::baseos
                Kernel: Linux 4.18.0
          Architecture: x86-64
    [***@host public_html]$

    That output also seems to think it's VZ, so it seems that's where cPanel is getting it from.

    In post #1 the second image shows virtuozzo. When I do the hostnamectl on that server I get this:

    [***@host ~]$ hostnamectl
       Static hostname: host.s***.com
             Icon name: computer-container
               Chassis: container
            Machine ID: 8ae7180274f046cea9ff5079c62ba72f
               Boot ID: 8384acc272b84c78af5de77404f5ad81
        Virtualization: openvz
      Operating System: AlmaLinux 8.9 (Midnight Oncilla)
           CPE OS Name: cpe:/o:almalinux:almalinux:8::baseos
                Kernel: Linux 3.10.0
          Architecture: x86-64
    [***@host ~]$

    So why does WHM show vzcontainer on one server and virtuozzo on another server when both show openvz when doing the hostnamectl terminal command?

    Ah, thanks for the confirmation.

    Can you try running the following command to see if that updates the information?

    /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/gensysinfo

    If not, it's likely time to create a ticket so we can take a look.

    Hi Rex,

    I ran the command as root. Didn't seem to do anything. WHM still shows vzcontainer.

    There isn't any output, positive or negative, from that command.  I'd open a ticket, or I can create one for you through this post if you'd like.
