How to correctly setup custom nameserver in WHM?

I've followed this tutorial https://docs.cpanel.net/knowledge-base/dns/how-to-set-up-nameservers-in-a-cpanel-environment/

Configure your default nameservers

To configure your default nameservers, perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to WHM’s Basic WebHost Manager Setup interface (WHM » Home » Server Configuration » Basic WebHost Manager Setup).
2. At the bottom of the interface, enter the desired nameserver names in the text boxes.
3. Click Save Changes.

What is "desired nameserver names" in this step? Is it the same entry as our custom nameservers?

  When you create a cPanel account in WHM those are the nameservers that will be used for that cPanel account's domain.

  What do you mean by "our custom nameservers"?

  First, you need to register those NS with the hosting server IP at your domain registrar's end.
  After that, you can update those custom NS in WHM by referring to the below Article
  
  Note: The changes take time 6-8 hours to propagate the DNS globally.
