Site Quality Monitoring setup error
Hi,
While trying to enable Site Quality Monitoring, the verification email was not received. When I clicked on "Click to Resend" I received the following error:
Error: Failed to resend the activation code with the following error: The response to the HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) “” request from “https://auth.koalityengine.com/v1/cpanel/auth/session” indicated an error (404, Not Found): {"status":"failure","message":"No user with team id (threeSixtyId) \XXXXX\u0022 found.","data":null}
When I clicked on Cancel I got the following error:
Error: Failed to reset the user’s configuration with the following error: Cpanel::Exception::HTTP::Server/(XID 4j2pk5) The response to the HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) “” request from “https://auth.koalityengine.com/v1/cpanel/auth/session” indicated an error (404, Not Found): {"status":"failure","message":"No user with team id (threeSixtyId) \XXXXXXXXXXX\u0022 found.","data":null} at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Plugins/RestApiClient.pm line 250. Please advise as I dont see any other way to move ahead with this.
Thank you!

Hey there! This is a known issue with the tool. As a temporary workaround, you can run this command and then use a different email address to complete the setup:
uapi --user=$cpuser SiteQuality reset_config
We are hoping to release a fix for this behavior either today or tomorrow!

After the reset all attempts with an email address that is associated with another setup of Site Quality Monitoring was failing despite doing repeated resets using your command. Doing it with an email address that has not been used in any Site Quality Monitoring setups yet worked fine. Does this mean, an email address can only be associated with a single site monitoring setup?

At this time yes, but they will be fixing that soon!

Update - we have fixed the setup error so you should get a much better error message if that happens again.
Emails do need to be unique across accounts, as this sets up your account on the Koality side of things.

I've had the same problem. The error is now much more user-friendly, thank you.
Error: Failed to register your cPanel account with Site Quality Monitoring: Failed to create the user info@****.net: User already exists.
The problem is that I manage approx 50 accounts on the server so using 50 different email addresses is definitely not practical!
Any solution would be gratefully received!
Thanks.

At this time I don't have a solution besides using multiple email addresses - that's just how the product is designed.

A project has been created and need to cancel it, thus stopping it for running every day. How could I accomplish that as the screen that appears when selecting the "Site Quality Monitoring" is to "+ Create Project"?
Trying to create it with the email account already setup for the specific monitored domain for which the project needs to be cancelled, the following error message is displayed:
Error: Failed to register your cPanel account with Site Quality Monitoring: Failed to create the user xxxxx.xxxxx@xxx.xx.xx: User already exists.
Thank you!

Let me look into this a bit and I'll get back with you!

Inside cPanel >> Site Quality Monitoring you should be able to visit User Settings -> Remove all Information from Site Quality monitoring and that will clear your account's entry. That will allow you to reuse that email account for another site.

Thank you, going to the "Site Quality Monitoring" in cPanel, I cannot find the "User Settings" as it requests to choose a domain and enter an email, in order to a create a project.
Should I therefore create a new project using another email address, which will allow me to find the "User Settings"? From there, I will be able to proceed with the "Remove all Information from Site Quality monitoring" action?

If you have terminated an account before unregistering the Site Quality Monitoring tool, you'll need to submit a ticket with us so we can get your email cleared from the Koality database manually. I have requested that terminating a cPanel account unregisters SQM on the domain to avoid this from happening in the future, but that case hasn't been resolved yet.

That seems like a bit of an oversight that should be rectified sooner rather than later. Like the missing copy/paste on the iPhone 1.

MarkCanada - I would agree, but I confirmed with their team this is how they want the implementation configured at this time.
