Exclude domain name from DNS cluster sync

Good morning,

We currently achieve some account migrations between servers. All accounts in all servers uses the same cPanel DNSOnly servers as nameservers.

We use pkgacct and restorepkg to transfer account, then we uses mysqldump and rsync to re-sync files.

During migration period, we keep the two accounts (on source and target server) available. So we would like to prevent them overwriting the current DNS on DNSOnly:

• Prevent target server to override the DNS while we are still testing the account on
• Prevent the source server to override the DNS while we have pushed the new DNS settings on the target server with /scripts/dnscluster/synczone

How to achieve that? Is there any "don't sync DNS" list somewhere in cPanel?

  Hey there!  Unfortunately, no.  When restoring to a server in a cluster it will immediately overwrite the DNS as the data on the cluster is updated.
