Home Directory Backup download "complete" without actually downloading full file
In the past I have been able to successfully download a Home Directory backup using the backup wizard with no issues. However, recently when I try to download this backup, at random points from 13 GB to 30 GB, the download ends and says it is "complete."
I know that it hasn't actually downloaded the full home backup at that point, because the full file should be around 55-60 GB. I don't get any errors, the backup just randomly ends prematurely and claims that it's finished. I tried the same thing using the DownloadThemAll extension for my Firefox browser, but still I faced the same issue.
I also know it isn't due to loss of internet connection or lack of disc space, because when this happens my internet has no issues and my laptop has more than enough space to store the full file.

What is the diskspace limit on the account? The backup file count against the limit of the account so if the limit is 100GB but your disk usage is already 60GB the system won't be able to make the backup file.

I thought the point of downloading a backup from the backup wizard straight to my laptop was to avoid having that backup taking up diskspace on my account? Also, my space is 144 GB and I've only used 67 GB, so there should be enough room.
It's also strange that if the issue is diskspace, why does the file "complete" at widely different and random sizes each attempt I make?

Even though the backup wizard allows you to download the file, it still has to be generated on the server first - there is no way to stream data directly to your workstation. If you're reaching a quota limit that would explain this behavior.

I would put a higher limit there temporarily and see how that goes.....

Well I looked into getting a higher limit, but the cost to buy more space on my VPS just to test that would be ridiculous. It also shouldn't be the issue, as I have more than double the space needed and so should be able to make a full backup with room to spare.
The last two times I tried making a backup, the first time "completed" at 15 GB and the second time "completed" at 42 GB. So it's not hitting some clear limit, it's instead just stopping at random points.

If you have enough space than due to the large file size I suggest you to make the backup to your home folder instead then download it via FTP.

Clarice - could you submit a ticket so we can test this behavior on your system? If the backup is failing, I would at least expect it to fail at the same point each time.
