cPanel & FTP Login Credentials

Hi,

When you create a new account/domain under WHM/List Accounts/Create a New Account,  a Username is generated and a complex password is created using the Password Generator. Is this User Name and Password used for both cPanel login and FTP access? It appears the username created  is also listed under FTP accounts.  So I'm assuming it's used for access to both cPanel and FTP using the same password.  And then of course if you can create separate FTP accounts if needed.

  Correct, you can also login with it via FTP.

  So, if a customer wants to change the password for their main account which is also used for FTP, they would go into cPanel, Preferences, Password & Security, enter the old password and then a new password?

  And for us who are Root Administrators over all domains, if we want to change a customers main account password, we would go to List Accounts, find the domain, click the + sign next to the domain to expand to see more options, and then enter a new password in the password box? I'm assuming that's what that password box is used for?
