Licensing Scheme
Friends, I think cPanel is a wonderful product, obviously a behemoth as its compromised of many different parts and I wish to thank all the support staff at cPanel for their wonderful help over the years!! KUDOS TO YOU GUYS AND GALS!! The development of the product is also very nice so big KUDOS to all the developers too.
But if I can suggest something here, the licensing scheme for this product needs to change. Looking back at the history, the process of invalidating keys is a bit rushed and at times, when I call in for this, I don't even get as much as an answer on the telephone, which is really concerning and frustrating as it effects customers.
So, instead of just suspending keys, why not flag them for a few hours perhaps, THEN suspend? This might just well lower support requests and make things a less frustrating for others.

Do you purchase your licenses directly from cPanel Inc or do you actually go via a reseller/distributor/datacenter?

I would need a bit more details on what you mean by "suspending keys" - we also haven't offered phone support for a while, so it seems you are likely speaking with your host or license provider.
