Bulk-editing global filters?
I have a number of sets of global filters that are working well, but their organization into categories is haphazard, as the most reasonable categories did not make themselves apparent until after several years worth of rule accretion. I would like to reorder the existing rules into differently-organized categories. Using the web-based rule manipulator for such a global change is overly tedious and error-prone, with a lot of screen switching. I was wondering if these filter rules were resident in a file (or several) that were susceptible to bulk modification by a text editor, and if so, where I could find it or them. Thanks.

Hey there! The global filters are stored in /etc/vfilters/domain.com, but you'll quickly notice a warning at the top of that file saying not to manually edit it.
My recommendation?
- create a backup of the file before editing
- make a few small edits
- see if they show up how you expect in the cPanel interface
If so, you can continue making more edits, knowing that the changes you want to appear will "stick"
