New Server - No MariaDB
I searched for this issue, and found people with the issue, however the solutions were missing. I am guessing its due to the big Forums Upgrade from last year.
I am moving onto a new server. Our old server is running Cpanel 118.0.4 on AlmaLinux The new Server is running on the same version of Cpanel 118.0.4 but on Ubuntu.
On the old server we are running MariaDB 10.6 however on the new server it is running MySQL 8. There is no option to upgrade to MariaDB on the new server.
Will I be able to move all my sites over to the new server and have them work fine on MySQL 8?
If not how do I upgrade to MariaDB on the new server?
Thanks!

The default database is MySQL 8 on Almalinux and unfortunately there is no way to switch over to MariaDB thereafter. If the new server is yet empty I would reinstall it just to be sure and follow this guide to have MariaDB installed by default instead of MySQL:
otherwise MySQL 8 should be mostly compatible with MariaDB so I expect the sites to be working fine with MySQL 8 as well.
