WordPress sent email about updating a site that was deleted?

Good morning.
I got an email Your site has updated to WordPress 6.5 when the accoutn holding this site was deleted several months ago. I doubled check the root directory and it does no exist and there are no signs, but yet wordpress was able to update this site. How is this even possible? I cannot go to the site as its not there and no signs on my server, yet wordpress is able to update the software. If anyone has a solution, much appreciated. Thanks so much!

Hey hey! It sounds like WP Toolkit still has a record of the site internally. Can you run this to get the site ID?
wp-toolkit --list
That will show the website URL and the ID number. You can then run this command to detach that specific website using the ID number:
wp-toolkit --detach -instance-id ##Can you try that and see if that works?

That is the email sent to me and this site was terminated like 2 months ago!

A random thought - are we sure that message is being sent from this server? Is it possible the site could still exist on another machine? This could be confirmed from the IP address in the email headers.

Yep, you are 100% correct. Client did not cancel old Go Daddy hosting accoutn where the site was originally hosted until I started hosting on my own server. :)
