Cpanel Stopped work says it is not licensed anymore but it is as well email doesn't work now
I have paid through my hosting company till the end of this month for Cpanel 100. When I try to login now it tells me that
The cPanel license server said that a license could not be issued for your server (66). For more information visit: https://www.cpanel.net/lic/ The exact message was: The license is expired. (IP Redacted)
As well for some reason I can no longer login to any of my email accounts on the server. I have checked and All email services are up and running.
I do not know if the two are connected but everything else on th server seems to be working.

Have you asked your hosting company about this? You can login via SSH as root and force the license check from there:
/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
Andrew N. - cPanel Plesk VMWare Certified Professional

Yes I have and they are working on it but it still does not solve my email issue

James,
Look at this:
You won't be able to use webmail until the license is sorted.
Andrew N. - cPanel Plesk VMWare Certified Professional

Regular services like Web and Email will continue functioning when the cPanel license expires. Websites continue to load, and incoming mail will continue to be received. that is Not true
both Exim and Dovecot are using cpanel
# Password and user databases
##passdb {
driver = dict
args = /usr/local/cpanel/etc/dovecot/cpauthd-dict.conf
result_internalfail = continue
result_failure = return-fail
}userdb {
driver = prefetch
}
userdb {
driver = dict
args = /usr/local/cpanel/etc/dovecot/cpauthd-dict.conf
}that is from the dovecot config

The email is still coming into the server, we just suspend the user authentication so you aren't able to access it. That is what the third bullet point explains in that article:
"The WHM, cPanel, and Webmail interfaces will not accept logins, limiting access to administrative functions."
Since your license was purchased through the Partner and not us directly, only they would be able to help with this issue.

Can Cpanel get anymore misleading?. You Can not uninstall it and they hold your email as hostage so really not sure if that should be part of a class action suit or not. Yes my provider screwed up by not ensuring that I was licensed until the end of my contract with them however Cpanel themselves take the blame for costing me money in lost revenue for basically saying my email will still work when I can't access it because of them.

Since you mentioned potential legal action, I have to lock this thread. I already pointed out the documentation saying what happens with email when a license expires.
