WHM access for contractor

I need to grant access for a contractor to my VPS WHM. They need access to everything. Can I set up a user profile for them or do I really need to give them my root password?

  There is no seperate access for them sadly. Either the root password or you can add their SSH key(s) so they can login without knowing your root password but they still have root access.
