SMTP 550 while email arrives
hoi hoi
I created a mail account for foo@bar.me
then I sent a mail there and today I deleted the Account
I created a new account f_o@bar.me and created a forwarder from foo@bar.me to f_o@bar.me,user1+foo@bar.me
when I now send an email to foo@bar.me the email arrives in the mailbox f_o@bar.me and in the mailbox user1 in subfolder foo
fine so far but the sender get's an error message:
LMTP error after RCPT TO:<foo@bar.me>:
550 5.1.1 <foo@bar.me> User doesn't exist:
foo@bar.me
I found /scripts/buildeximconf to rebuild exim but still the same.
also it's same if I send a mail local or from external

Thanks for the additional details. No, I think you did everything in the correct order, but something isn't working properly on the system. It seems to think that email account still exists.
Can you try the workaround mentioned here and see if that resolves the issue? https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/360047378014-Sending-email-to-a-forwarded-address-gives-550-5-1-1-User-doesn-t-exist

Hey there! Can you post the data from the Exim log in /var/log/exim_mainlog so we can see that full mail transaction? That would likely show how it is trying to process that message.

the rest of the domain gets handeled by a single catch-all-account so no reason for an exeption.
I'm afraid it's because I deleted that user before I created the same address as alias
the mail arraved again in both mailboxes0 -
thanks, seems like deleting that folder fixed it :-) (/home/user/mail/bar.me/foo)
how much post do I need to write here until I don't have to wait for approval anymore?0 -
You already aren't having to wait for approval at this time. Are you seeing a delay on your end?

this one was fast, the comment with the log needed 2 days. but may it's done now :-) cpanel really stopped direct support for all who bought whm from their vps-provider?

Ah, I see - our system often flags the output of logs files as being suspicious, and our Forums aren't staffed on the weekends, so there was a delay there.
Yes, you do need to have a direct license in order to contact our support team, but you're always welcome to reach out to your hosting provider and they can escalate the issue to us if they are not able to resolve it.
