From MySql server 8.0.37 cs to MariaDB 10.x
Hi all,
at the moment I have MySql 8.0.37 server community and I'm thinking to switch to MariaDB 10.x
Question:
1. There is a tool, or there will be in the next months, to do this?
2. If i remove the db server and install the new one, after I will have WHM support (server restart, phpMyAdmin, processes, etc...) or the new MariaDB will rest de-synchronized from WHM/Cpanel?
Thank you,
Renato.

Hey there! As far as I know there is no tool planned. cPanel also doesn't support removal of the database system as that could cause unintended problems with the machine.

Ok, it would be nice for us customer and users of cPanel & WHM to have the option to switch the database management system not only at warm up but also in "hot", I leave this functionality to cPanel team :-)
Not the guarantee on the "data stability and migration", that only a DB Manager can know after a punctual analysis between "MariaDB" and "MySQL", but at least the support with the removal of One and the set up of the Other and so on (restart service, PhpMyAdmin, etc).
And ok, I will follow with MySQL 8 cs, let we see what happens in the future...
Thank you.0
