Error establishing a database connection

Hi All, 

A website on cPanel returns "Error establishing a database connection".

I'm trying to check files and databases but Files and Databases sections are not opening\expanding. 

I tried to reboot the entire server on which cPanel is running but it didn't help.

Could you please help to find out why Files and Databases sections are not expanding and fix the database issue.

  Hey there!  When odd things like this are happening in the cPanel interface the first place to check is always the cPanel log file at /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log.  Do you see anything odd there when you access the page, or when you try and click those particular sections?  You can always try and run a forced update as well with the "/scripts/upcp --force" command .
