To anyone that hasn't elevated from Centos 7 to Alma 8 yet ...

I have been putting this off for a year.  I finally decided to do it last night.  I was ready for a few hours of downtime and random troubleshooting to get everything working.

The opposite of that happened.  I ran the elevate command ... and 25 minutes later, it was done.  0 problems.  0 issues.  Everything works, nothing is broken.  Then I ran the cPanel upgrade from 110 to 120, and again, everything is working 100%.

Thank you cPanel for this elevate script!  This was way better than reinstalling.

  Well done. If someone properly follows instructions, fix prohibitors and warnings beforehand it is a fairly straightforward process with a high succession rate :)
