Disabling IPV6

What is the preferred way to disable ipv6 entirely.  The help topics are vague and stale.  I do see under WHM | IPV6 | IPV6 Ranges a "shared" IPV6 ip address.  So is that shared across. . . what?  What does the "shared" mean?  Can I remove it?

I keep getting hit by IPV6 addresses and want they to stop. . . 

CSF firewall is equally obscure in how to do this. . .

  I hope it helps.  There should be a way in WHM to just disable IPv6 globally but i have not found it yet.
