WHM Port 2087 Occasionally Slow
AnsweredI am experiencing an issue where port 2087 is sometimes very slow, although it occasionally works normally. However, when port 2087 is slow, port 2083 remains normal. What could be the cause of this? Previously, I encountered a possible DDOS attack, but I checked Immunify, and the threat level has decreased. I also received an email stating that "cPanel & WHM version (11.110.0.35) will reach End of Life." Could this be related? I would appreciate any assistance.

Hi,
Have you noticed a high server load around the times that WHM was loading slowly? You may already know this, but WHM will report the 1, 5 and 15 minute load averages in the upper right corner. For reference:
What load average is considered high
I don't think that the EOL notification would be related to the slow WHM load times. If you see no signs of load issues, I recommend using MTR to check for signs of network issues on port 2087. We have a guide for this below:

The server load is low, but I previously blocked IPs from the US and Singapore. Could that be the cause?

Hi,
If you've blocked IPs that were performing an attack on port 2087, it could have resolved the issue. If the issue is no longer happening, you can review the sar logs to see if the load average was elevated when WHM was loading slowly. You might already be familiar with this, but I will include a resource below on using sar:
How to diagnose high loads with sar command
If the issue is still happening and the server load is low, that indicates the slowness could be caused by a network issue.
