Forward emails without storing in original account
Hi,
I need help setting up email forwarding in cPanel.
I want to forward all incoming emails from the inbox of "aaa@company.com" to the inbox of "bbb@company.com" without the emails being stored, appearing in the 'Inbox' or 'Sent' folders, or even entering "aaa@company.com".
The goal is to keep the "aaa@company.com" account accessible, but ensure that any emails received are directly forwarded to "bbb@company.com" without being stored or ever reaching "aaa@company.com".
Is it necessary to create a rule or filter in the email account for this? If so, how should this rule be written and where can I configure it in cPanel settings?
The emails are configured as IMAP.
Thank you for your assistance!

Create the forwarder aaa@company.com to bbb@company.com but don't create the account aaa@company.com

Based on what you described, you just want a forward and no mailbox.

Thanks for your reply ffeingol.
It is possible to do it? How?0 -
https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/email/forwarders/
- If a forwarder shares an address with an email account, both will receive mail.
- When you forward emails from an existing email account on the server, the system stores the emails in the account, then forwards them. To stop receiving emails in the account, delete it. Then, only the existent address will receive the emails.

Create the forwarder aaa@company.com to bbb@company.com but don't create the account aaa@company.com
aaa@company.com address already exists and should be kept.

There is difference between email address and email mailbox.

I added a forwarder from "aaa@company.com" to "bbb@company.com".
Then, I sent a test email from 'aaa' to 'bbb', using Outlook and the email was received in the inbox of both accounts.
Is there a way to receive the email only in "bbb@company.com" without deleting "aaa@company.com" from Outlook?0 -
Hi,
I already found a 'simple' solution.
Just create a filter for "aaa@company.com" with a following rule:
- Any Header contains: "aaa@company.com"
- Action: Redirect to Email: "bbb@company.com"0
