Assistance Needed for Setting Up Dedicated Server for WHM with Dual Storage (SSD & HDD)

Hello,

I’ve recently purchased a dedicated server that comes with two storage options: a 220GB SSD and a 2TB hard drive. I’m planning to start my own web hosting business, and I will be using WHM/cPanel to manage hosting accounts.

However, I’m a bit confused about how to properly configure the storage for WHM. My goal is to ensure that the SSD is utilized for the system files and WHM installation, while all user data (such as websites, databases, and email accounts) is stored in the /home directory on the 2TB hard drive.

I would really appreciate it if someone could guide me through the process of setting this up or offer advice on the best practices for this type of configuration. I want to make sure everything is optimized for performance and scalability, ensuring the hosting environment is secure and reliable for my future clients.

  There is no additional configuration needed as the default location for cPanel to create the accounts is the /home folder so if you mount the HDD as /home then cPanel will create the accounts there automatically.
