Activity tracking consent popup slider
AnsweredWe are getting slider on the right side of EACH PAGE for consent for some sort of activity tracking. There is not "deny and never show" button. How can this be disabled - we do not want to participate and this slider is annoying (a lot).

Hey there! Is there any way you could post a screenshot of what you're seeing? If it's this guy:
I would expect clicking the X to make this go away permanently.

It's this one. Don't see "Deny" option there and it bugs on every screen on every server, loosing focus and making us click to close it. Clicking on the "X" does not remove it. Well - it closes on that page, but on the next page - it's back. I have no words to describe, how annoying it is.

I do not want to check the box or click, as I do not agree with your usage and data collection.

Go to WHM -> Server Configuration -> Configure cPanel Analytics

anton_latvia - I'm glad that quietFinn was able to point you in the right direction.
We don't want to have this off by default as then we would never get any usage information if people had to manually turn it on. If you just turn that option off globally then the end users won't get the pop up at all.

There may also be a user interface issue here as the "X" doesn't seem to keep this from reappearing. Let me do some testing with this and I'll get back to you with more details.

I did create case CPANEL-45920 with our team to see what the behavior of the X should be, as right now it just closes the panel but doesn't remember a decision, which isn't very intuitive. If I hear an update on that I'll be sure to post!

Also do note that this may be against EU regulations. You cannot have this on by default (opt-in vs opt-out). Better would be - as you originally did - to lave this off and ask on new installations.

I also want this option.

Unfortunately I can confirm this option is going to stay on by default. You're welcome to turn it off on your personal systems and then users will never see the notification.
