Trouble backing up a DNS server to Amazon S3
As a precursor, I am a bit over my head, so I apologize if I do not explain my problem well, or if I sound like a novice. I will try my best.
I have a WHM server set up as a DNS server, and I have it backing up daily to AmazonS3.
There are no Cpanel accounts on this server, only DNS zones.
The backups appear to be completing, but when I look at Amazon, I am only seeing a very small .master.meta file. It doesn't seem that this could possibly be a complete backup of the DNS Zones. There are over 1700 zone files on this server.
I want to ensure that my DNS Zones are being backed up, in case something happens to the server.
My current backup settings are
Backup Type - Compressed
Check the Available Disk Space- 5%
Maximum Destination Backup Timeout- 7200
Maximum Backup Restoration Timeout- 21600
Scheduling and Retention- Daily Backups, retaining 5
Back up User Accounts checked
Back up Bandwidth Data checked
Back up System Files checked
Back up SQL Databases - Per Account Only
Backups are not retained in the default directory.
Under Additional Destinations, if I edit my destination
I am using Amazon S3 destination
Transfer System Backups to this Destination is not checked - should this be?
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Yes, DNS Zones are in /backup/BACKUPDATE/system/dirs/_var_named.tar.gz

Thank you so much for your response!
I will check this option and see if the backups work.
