Update error 2 on update no such file or directory

Got a message from the update system:

"Maintenance ended; however, it did not exit cleanly (256)"

[2025-02-28 21:06:15 +0100] E [/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/find_outdated_services] STDERR: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/proc/830/stat'

And a few lines further.

[2025-02-28 21:06:15 +0100] E [/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/find_outdated_services] Cpanel::Exception::ProcessFailed::Error/(XID 5wh75u) “/usr/bin/needs-restarting” reported error code “1” when it ended: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/proc/830/stat'
We do have a /proc/83/stat directory but indeed no /proc/830/stat directory. Not using Cloudlinux. Just Alma Linux 9.5.

  Typical to see that from time to time.   Some [many] processes are short-lived.  During an update the list of processes is probably queried, and then later on when the script tries to check if that certain process needs restarted it has already shut down on its own.
