different hostnames for web/email on same server

On a single server, I want cpanel & WHM to run on a different hostname than email. I want all web services to be behind Cloudflare proxy, whereas email needs a PTR record with an IP matching the hostname.

I'm thinking that the best approach is probably to use the hostname set in WHM for email, and find a way to manually change the hostname used by WHM/cPanel. Anyone know where to start?

  Webmail can be accessed also using domain.com/webmail or webmail.domain.com other than the hostname. It should also work via CF.

  This is about the SMTP server. 

  An email server’s outbound IP must have a matching PTR (reverse DNS) record to establish trust with receiving mail servers. Mismatched or missing PTR records are a common spam signal, leading to rejected or flagged messages. The PTR should resolve to a hostname that matches the server’s HELO/EHLO value and aligns with SPF records.

  For my understanding this can be accomplished only if emails are sent from IP other than the server's public main IP.
