Addon Domain Loads Main Domain Site - Not Intended (RESOLVED)

Hi,  i just added a addon domain that is registered at another registrar.  I added my nameservers to that registrars domain account so the site is now propagating to my nameservers,  thats good. 

I unchecked the box to share root when i added the domain so it created its own folder for the site (not under public_html) which is the way it should be.

I checked the zone editor and there is an A record for addon.com  which points to my server ip, and also a CNAME record for www.addon.com  which points to addon.com

So i dont understand why when i load addon.com in the browser it loads the main domain site. (public_html)

  I had to install the ssl cert because i have the server and browser set for https requests only, once i installed the cert then it loaded the website correctly.
