AWStats and ssl
I understand this could be more of a awstats issue rather than cPanel but since awstats support is not available I hope for help here.
From within cPanel accessing awstats numbers for a site there are two links for ssl and non ssl stats, with ssl=1 and ssl= in the urls. This works fine of course, but for a while now I have given access to awstats to site content editors (I am a site admin) by installing AWStats outside of cpanel so as to not give out the cpanel password to editors. This method works and is described on some sites like www.bluehost.com/help/article/access-awstats-without-logging-into-cpanel (not sure if links are allowed for new users, sorry).
My issue is that this 'outside' of cpanel method seems to ignore ssl=1 and ssl= and always present the non ssl stats.
For example
domain.com/aws/awstats.pl?config=domain.com&ssl=&lang=en
and
domain.com/aws/awstats.pl?config=domain.com&ssl=1&lang=en
show the same stats but they are not the same if viewed when logged into cpanel. Perhaps interestingly changing any other like changing lang=fr works as expected.
Any solutions possible? Thanks.
