Subdomains in separate Zones?
I have a zone (example.com) and I created several subdomains: home.example.com, lan.example.com, dmz.example.com.
As far as I can tell, I have one example.com zone, and inside it are all the different records for the apex zone as well as all the records for the subdomains (host1.home.example.com as well as www.example.com). They're not all web site oriented. They're just DNS zones with lots of host names. I didn't want www.home.example.com or cpcontacts.home.example.com, etc. (That's fine, I know how to delete them).
A few of these subdomains are going to be quite large with hundreds of records. I want one zone per subdomain so that I don't have this single monster zone with all the records in it (e.g., 400 records in a single zone). Is there a way to do one subdomain per zone?
I searched the support and I searched the community forums, but I didn't find anything applicable.

If you are root WHM user, then enable "Allow WHM users to create subdomains across accounts" in Tweak Settings

Yes. Create separate DNS zones for each subdomain in WHM, then delegate them from the main
example.comzone using NS records. Move each subdomain’s records into its own zone and remove duplicates from the parent zone. Root or reseller WHM access is required.0
