Yes, if you need it in a specific folder, create a subdomain, install it there. If the account has an active content, it's advisable to install it in a separate subdomain/folder.

It might be due to "Cookie IP Validation". Did you try clearing your browser cache/cookies, also try to login from a different web browser. Are you using any proxy or vpn to access it?

Click on the padlock and view connection details. It will show why the padlock is not shown as secure. You can also use online tools to see if there are any mixed content on your website.
