Same issue here. PHPMyAdmin with PHP-FPM is using /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/php/56/etc/php.ini instead of /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/php/56/etc/phpmyadmin/php.ini I will apply the workaround again.
