That is not an issue especially if you only have 1 ip address assigned to your server, also it is not a good idea in my honest opinion to essentially have 2 dns hostnames pointing to the same server.

After speaking with liquidweb support, they pretty much don't allow upgrade of the OS due to issues they have had in the past and deem it a risk to the security of the network.
