You can disable it in the feature manager or templates. Disabling backup is not a good idea. You can configure incremental backups which won't take a lot of cpu .

mysqldump backup is not a perfect solution for large db's with continuous updates. You need to consider Percona XtraBackup percona.com/software/mysql-database/percona-xtrabackup

Login to your vps control panel and change the hostname. After that set the hostname in whm too.
