Have you tried unblocking yourself as mentioned before? Login to WHM and under CPHulk whitelist your current IP at home.

by any chance are you on a VPS? Is it OpenVZ based?

Do you have KVM or console access to the server? Do you know why the new kernel is not booting? Is it a kernel panic? You can hire cPanel certified system admins from here

CentOS 6 is still supported till November and the LTS version remains supported as far as I know. If you have the same issue try rebuild the RPM database as @cPanelLauren mentioned.

I have asked this maybe 1-2 years ago in a ticket and I was told due to lack of interest it's no longer being maintained but I'm happy to see that the plugin is still active and can be used.
