When you say "cannot access the website", do you mean it is not resolving to IP? If so consider checking the DNS section accordingly.

Have you tried repairing the tables with repair table option in cpanel > mysql > repair database option.

It might not be mysql at all causing this. Have you considered apache optimizaiton so far?
