Symptoms
Databases are included in a user's disk usage calculation by default, however, MySQL disk usage is not restricted by a user's quota.
Description
MySQL does not have native support for database ownership. Database data is owned by the 'mysql' user as opposed to the cPanel user.
We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPSPECTRE-49. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product.
Workaround
There is no workaround at this time. We do have an existing feature request to implement MySQL disk usage restrictions. The best alternative at this time is to utilize CloudLinux MySQL Governor limits.
Is it possible to implement quotas specific to MySQL Databases?
