What versions of MySQL and MariaDB are supported by cPanel?
Answer
Note: The default database server on new installations prior to cPanel version 122 is MySQL 8.0. In cPanel version 122 and later, the default SQL server is MariaDB 10.11.
cPanel currently supports the following versions of MySQL and MariaDB across each of these operating systems:
- MySQL 8.0
- MySQL 8.4
- MariaDB 10.3*
- MariaDB 10.5
- MariaDB 10.6
- MariaDB 10.11
- MariaDB 11.4
Note: New cPanel installations do not support installing or upgrading to MariaDB 10.3. Only pre-existing installations are supported.
