How to manage FTP brute force protection in Imunify360

Introduction

This article provides the procedure to edit the configuration for FTP brute force protection in Imunify360 in WHM.

Please note that cPanel also offers a brute force protection feature called "cPHulk," which should not be confused with Imunfiy360's brute force protection service.

Procedure

1. Log in to WHM as the ‘root’ user.
2. Navigate to "Home / Plugins / Imunify360."
3. Click the "Settings" (gear) icon.
4. Scroll down to the "PAM" section.
5. Enable or disable "FTP brute-force attack protection" as desired.
   • To enable, add a check to "FTP brute-force attack protection."
   • To disable, remove the check from "FTP brute-force attack protection."
6. Click the "Save Changes" button.
