How to reset the postgres password for the PostgreSQL server on cPanel servers

Question

How do I change the PostgreSQL database server password on my cPanel & WHM server?

Answer

CPANEL_INFO: Please note, PostgreSQL is not available on Ubuntu based servers.

cPanel & WHM version 118 and earlier
  1. Login to WHM as the root user.
  2. Navigate to Home / SQL Services / Configure PostgreSQL
  3. Click on Password Generator to create a password for the Postgres user.
  4. Click Change Password
cPanel & WHM version 120 and later
  1. Login to WHM as the root user.
  2. Navigate to Home / Database Services / Configure PostgreSQL
  3. Click on Password Generator to create a password for the Postgres user.
  4. Click Change Password
