Can I manually update the /var/cpanel/cpnat file?

Answer

The /var/cpanel/cpnat file is updated by the /scripts/build_cpnat command, which populates the file based on the server's NAT (Network Address Translation) configuration. We do not recommend that you manually update the file, as doing that will not have an effect on the server's actual NAT configuration, nor will it resolve any networking issues on the server.
