How to remove version lock packages

Introduction

There are times that some packages available to be updated create a conflict on the system that can result in a package requiring to be locked while waiting for a solution to be available. The following information will provide information on how to verify what packages are under a lock and clear them.

Procedure

You can view what packages are currently under a version lock with the following command: 

 yum versionlock list

You can clear all listed packages from the lock by running the following command:

yum versionlock clear
