How to enable/disable username prefixes for databases and database usernames.

Introduction

By default, cPanel created database names and database usernames are prefixed with the username of the cPanel account they are associated with. This behavior can be enabled/disabled in WHM.

Procedure

1. Log into WHM as the root user.
2. Navigate to Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings.
3. Click on the SQL tab.
4. Change the option for 'Require a username prefix on names of new databases and database users' to the desired setting.
5. Click the Save button.

Any new databases or database usernames will be created without the cPanel account username prefix if the setting is off. This change doesn't affect existing databases or database usernames.
