Upgrading to 120 on CloudLinux server with CCS removes PostgreSQL

Symptoms

When upgrading cPanel to version 120 on a CloudLinux server with CCS installed, the PostgreSQL service will also be uninstalled.

Description

In cPanel version 120, the CCS plugin was removed and replaced with the cpdavd service. On CloudLinux servers, uninstalling the CCS plugin also uninstalls the PostgreSQL service.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-44139. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product. 

Workaround

1. Back up the /var/lib/pgsql directory.

   cp -av /var/lib/pgsql{,.$(date +%s)}

2. Reinstall PostgreSQL

   /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/installpostgres
