Description
When running the elevate on CloudLinux 7, the operation fails to upgrade to CloudLinux 8. The DNF cache isn't returning the expected value for CloudLinux 8. The behavior above is actively being reviewed in CloudLinux case CLOS-2759.
We've also opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is RE-500. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product.
Workaround
Starting in version 45 of the elevate-cpanel script, elevate-cpanel for CloudLinux 7 has been disabled due to problems with the upstream leapp package. The issue was resolved in version 46, and elevate-cpanel for CloudLinux 7 has been re-enabled.
You can check the version of the elevate-cpanel script on the server by running the following command as the 'root' user.
/scripts/elevate-cpanel --version
