Symptoms

Running AutoSSL for a user results in:

CONFIG_TEXT: Impediment: COMPLETELY_EXCLUDED: This website is completely excluded from AutoSSL.

Cause

All websites for the user are being excluded from AutoSSL.

Resolution

cPanel v132 and older
  1. Log in to the cPanel account for the user who owns the domain.
  2. Access Security / SSL/TLS Status
  3. Find the domain that you want included in AutoSSL.

  4. Click on the blue link that says Include during AutoSSL.

    The "Include during AutoSSL" link is under the Certificate Status header
  5. Click the button that says Run AutoSSL
cPanel 134 and newer
  1. Log in to the cPanel account for the user who owns the domain that needs a certificate
  2. Access Security / SSL/TLS Certificates

  3. From the Wizard tab, select the domain you wish to protect with an SSL. A DCV check will run automatically in the background.

    The checkboxes indicate which subdomains to include in the AutoSSL run

  4. Select Continue and choose Let's Encrypt Certificate to install a free certificate.

  5. When the DCV checks complete, continue through the prompts in the Wizard to issue the SSL.
