How close to expiry will AutoSSL try to renew an SSL?

Answer

Each AutoSSL provider may wait for a specific amount of time to replace an AutoSSL-provided certificate before it expires. For example:

• AutoSSL attempts to renew certificates that cPanel, L.L.C. provides within 15 days of expiry.

• AutoSSL attempts to renew certificates that Let’s Encrypt provides within 29 days of expiry.

• AutoSSL attempts to renew non-AutoSSL certificates within 3 days of expiry if configured.

• Due to rate limits, AutoSSL prioritizes new certificates over the renewal of existing certificates.
