Question
Which version of Postgres/pgsql should I install on my server?
Answer
cPanel only provides support for the version of Postgres/pgsql that the script at /scripts/installpostgres installs.
Please note: The script provides output that references version 9.2 or later. It will install the current version provided by your operating system repository.
Currently, the versions provided by the operating system's repositories are as follows:
- CentOS/CloudLinux 7 - PostgreSQL 9.2.24
- AlmaLinux/Rocky Linux/CloudLinux 8 - PostgreSQL 10.23.4
- AlmaLinux/Rocky Linux/CloudLinux 9 - PostgreSQL 13.18.1
- Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04 LTS - Not supported at this time
