How to resolve "[mysqluserstore] Restarting MySQL due to my.cnf modifications."

Introduction

You may experience issues with MySQL results from the following warning.

[ root@server ~]cPs# grep mysqluserstore /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log | grep my.cnf
[mysqluserstore] Restarting MySQL due to my.cnf modifications.


Procedure

This is due to the following settings being enabled within "WHM » Server Configuration » Tweak Settings"

  • Allow cPanel & WHM to determine the best value for your MySQL open_files_limit configuration? 
  • Allow cPanel & WHM to determine the best value for your MySQL max_allowed_packet configuration?
If you can't afford for MySQL to restart for a brief moment, you will need to disable these settings.  For more information on these settings, see our documentation here.
