How to reinstall MySQL/MariaDB in WHM

Introduction

This article provides the procedure to reinstall MySQL/MariaDB in WHM.

Procedure

1. Log in to WHM as the root user.

2. Navigate to Home / SQL Services / Upgrade Database Version.

   CPANEL_INFO: In cPanel versions older than 120, the interface name is MySQL/MariaDB Upgrade .

3. Select the currently installed MariaDB or MySQL version if not already selected.
4. Click the Continue button.
5. Check the checkbox to acknowledge that you understand the process will install and not upgrade the current SQL server version.
6. Click the Continue button.
7. Select the Unattended Upgrade option.
8. Click the Continue button.
