How to reinstall MySQL/MariaDB in WHM

Introduction

This article provides the procedure to reinstall MySQL/MariaDB in WHM.

Procedure

1. Log in to WHM as the ‘root’ user.
2. Navigate to "Home / SQL Services / Upgrade Database Version."
   Please note that the interface name is "MySQL/MariaDB Upgrade" in cPanel versions older than 120.
3. Select the currently installed MariaDB or MySQL version if not already selected.
4. Click the "Continue" button.
5. Check the checkbox to acknowledge that you understand the process will install and not upgrade the current SQL server version.
6. Click the "Continue" button.
7. Select the "Unattended Upgrade" option.
8. Click the "Continue" button.
