Question
Why is /home/virtfs/$user created when jailshell and the jailed shell environment is disabled?
Answer
Our software is designed to jail certain activity that has a potential method of interacting with the system or other users.
Those activities are:
- Exim Mail filters
- Piped emails
- User level cron jobs
- The experimental Jail Apache Virtual Hosts environment
There is no way to fully disable the creation of the jailed environment in /home/virtfs/$user when these are used.
We have this provided in our website documentation at:
Disable or remove a jailed shell environment
